Ladylike Bags.

I am in love with small crossbody bags.  I've always had only big giant bags that stored all my stuff, but I was easily swayed the other direction when I flipped through the August issue of American Vogue and saw the trend ladylike bags. If this was a proper blog, I would have put up scans.
I'm not usually into trends (okay I lied to sound more fashionable), but I love the casual look of a crossbody and being petite, I need a smaller bag.  A smaller bag, for better or worse, is much less expensive too, so there.  Everyone has been telling me to get a Chanel Mini Flap 2.55, but although I like the look, there are so many other bags that are much more special.

So I've narrowed it down to three choices.

1) Celine Box Bag in Leopard-Print
The bag is absolutely gorgeous and so classic.  However, I know the shoulder strap comes way shorter than I would like it.  It hangs about 5 inches below the arm, but I love a bag to sit right at my hip.

2) Marc Jacobs Single in Bordeaux Patent

I have no red bags. In fact, I don't have a colored bag other than my '06 Balenciaga Day in Ink (Gosh I miss my bags in the East Coast).  Saks is having a double points event so I'm thinking about getting this, and at about $600, it's pretty much the most affordable thing on my list (douchey I know).
However I am most conflicted between this lovely bag and the next bag I'm going to show.

3) Mulberry Alexa Small Shoulder Clutch in Oak

I die. I literally die.  Between watching too much Rachel Zoe and Hayao Miyazaki films (I FINISHED THEM ALL FINALLY, except for the pig one), I fantasize about this bag.  This bag is perfect in that the strap is long, the shape is great, and the strap is actually detachable so I can use it as a clutch.  However I'm not so sure on the oak color as I was on the oversized Alexa because a clutch would look sharper if it was black, but I have so many black bags.

So I think my final decision is the Marc Jacobs Single for my ladylike bag and I'll get the oversized Alexa in Oak hopefully for my birthday. Hopefully.  If John can spend 150 for his girlfriend of 2 months  for her birthday, he ought to buy me a $1300 bag for mine. Excellent logic right hurr.

Oh and I'll start hopefully working and getting paid $12-15/hr being someone's assistant in NYC.  Hopefully! Since I'll have really no expenses in NYC, it'll go straight to buying shizz I don't need.

Guess What I Found Today...

I was trying to find my phone when I suddenly found my mom's old glasses circa 1993?.  They are ridic.  And I look absolutely ridic in them.  Not in a good way (Is there a good way?).  They're made in Germany and they look so vintage.  The lenses on these glasses are really scratched up and really reflective so it's hard to take a pic with them on photobooth.

I'm going to take them to New York anyways because they remind me how cool or rather uncool my mom was/still is.  I wonder if I can fit them with new lenses but on the other hand I'm thinking of probably getting new glasses in the wayfarer frames.

^I look like a tard wearing them. herp derp.

I really want to find a pic of my mom wearing these.  And hopefully she'll be wearing a 90's tracksuit.  I effin love the 90's.

Possibly the most awful playlist...

Random Post to kick off August. Post is obviously not about fashion. dun dun dun.

lol. The Ting Tings. And yes, I'm in da m00d for Michael Buble.

Fun Fact: I'm extremely anal about my iTunes.
People.  Please recommend music to me. I've been playing Sprawl II on repeat for days now.
Also need to find someone to go with me to the following concerts:

9/11 Dirty Projects - Terminal 5
9/29 or 9/30 Best Coast - Location pending on date (only 15 $$$!)
10/6 Phoenix - MSG
10/9 Ratatat - Terminal 5

The bad thing is that my schedule is going to make it almost impossible to make it to all these concerts.  I probs can go to all of these if I don't take the internship at NewBeauty Mag.

I should put more effort into this blog. Meh.

GRRR

I'm going to hunt down that bitch who bidded on the last second right under me on these gorgeous Dries Van Noten strappy sandals with sequined heel.
I never bid on shoes on eBay for obvious reasons, but I've never wanted another pair so badly.
I hope she dies in hell. or forgets to pay for them.

But I'm in need of crazy looking shoes.  Not really. More in need of a diet.

List Of Wants (Again.)

I guess I'm not really in the mood to buy more stuff nowadays.  I'm more in the mood for a really good diet.
But I'm feeling up another list.

1. MULBERRY OVER-FRICKING-SIZED ALEXA BAG in Oak/PROENZA SCHOULER PS1 in WHATEVER COLOR!
I still want want of these.  I'm thinking that I can afford the Mulberry. If only they would release it to be more readily available to the public.
And I totally stole this image from the purseforum. opps.

2. Miu Miu Spectator Pump
I die. There are like an infinite number of ways to wear these.

3. Alexander Wang Rocco Bag in Luggage
I love it, even though I think it might be too heavy.  And wayy too many people have this bag.

4. The perfect leopard print bag.
I usually hate leopard print but I saw it in magazines and I think it is perfect for fall.  I've yet to find one that is perfect.  The closest thing is the Prada one I saw at Saks, but that costs a whopping $3000.  Or I'm thinking about the Leopard-Print Roady. But I don't even think it's available anymore.

5. Chloe Tall Wool-Lined Boots
Too perfect for Fall.  I absolutely need these.

And again, any shearing coat from the Burberry FW10 line.  If I was a rich man, Ya ha deedle deedle, bubba bubba deedle deedle dum.

My favorite skirt

No, it's not my metallic Miu Miu skirt nor is it my black pleated circle Balenciaga skirt. It is my H&M floral skirt I got from eBay for ten dollahs.  I absolutely love it to death and I never got anything better for the money spent.
Unfortunately I've been stress shopping lately.  I just spent a lot on jewelry and I'm slowly becoming broke again.  Also stressed out about lookbook.  Dang, what does it take to get karma there!?  It's really frustrating and without the karma, my new looks get pushed down like crazy!  so wish me luck and anybody who reads this, hype my looks so my karma goes up.  haha, I know I shouldn't care, but it would be nice.

Is it summer yet?

75 degree weather never felt so good.  I finally wore shorts without tights. From seeing the photographs, I'm thinking I should really get a tan. I'm also excited I'm going to upgrade my Canon Rebel XT to a 50D.  I just could not stand the color noise and the limitations of low ISO speeds anymore.
