Ladylike Bags.

I am in love with small crossbody bags.  I've always had only big giant bags that stored all my stuff, but I was easily swayed the other direction when I flipped through the August issue of American Vogue and saw the trend ladylike bags. If this was a proper blog, I would have put up scans.
I'm not usually into trends (okay I lied to sound more fashionable), but I love the casual look of a crossbody and being petite, I need a smaller bag.  A smaller bag, for better or worse, is much less expensive too, so there.  Everyone has been telling me to get a Chanel Mini Flap 2.55, but although I like the look, there are so many other bags that are much more special.

So I've narrowed it down to three choices.

1) Celine Box Bag in Leopard-Print
The bag is absolutely gorgeous and so classic.  However, I know the shoulder strap comes way shorter than I would like it.  It hangs about 5 inches below the arm, but I love a bag to sit right at my hip.

2) Marc Jacobs Single in Bordeaux Patent

I have no red bags. In fact, I don't have a colored bag other than my '06 Balenciaga Day in Ink (Gosh I miss my bags in the East Coast).  Saks is having a double points event so I'm thinking about getting this, and at about $600, it's pretty much the most affordable thing on my list (douchey I know).
However I am most conflicted between this lovely bag and the next bag I'm going to show.

3) Mulberry Alexa Small Shoulder Clutch in Oak

I die. I literally die.  Between watching too much Rachel Zoe and Hayao Miyazaki films (I FINISHED THEM ALL FINALLY, except for the pig one), I fantasize about this bag.  This bag is perfect in that the strap is long, the shape is great, and the strap is actually detachable so I can use it as a clutch.  However I'm not so sure on the oak color as I was on the oversized Alexa because a clutch would look sharper if it was black, but I have so many black bags.

So I think my final decision is the Marc Jacobs Single for my ladylike bag and I'll get the oversized Alexa in Oak hopefully for my birthday. Hopefully.  If John can spend 150 for his girlfriend of 2 months  for her birthday, he ought to buy me a $1300 bag for mine. Excellent logic right hurr.

Oh and I'll start hopefully working and getting paid $12-15/hr being someone's assistant in NYC.  Hopefully! Since I'll have really no expenses in NYC, it'll go straight to buying shizz I don't need.

Guess What I Found Today...

I was trying to find my phone when I suddenly found my mom's old glasses circa 1993?.  They are ridic.  And I look absolutely ridic in them.  Not in a good way (Is there a good way?).  They're made in Germany and they look so vintage.  The lenses on these glasses are really scratched up and really reflective so it's hard to take a pic with them on photobooth.

I'm going to take them to New York anyways because they remind me how cool or rather uncool my mom was/still is.  I wonder if I can fit them with new lenses but on the other hand I'm thinking of probably getting new glasses in the wayfarer frames.

^I look like a tard wearing them. herp derp.

I really want to find a pic of my mom wearing these.  And hopefully she'll be wearing a 90's tracksuit.  I effin love the 90's.

Possibly the most awful playlist...

Random Post to kick off August. Post is obviously not about fashion. dun dun dun.

lol. The Ting Tings. And yes, I'm in da m00d for Michael Buble.

Fun Fact: I'm extremely anal about my iTunes.
People.  Please recommend music to me. I've been playing Sprawl II on repeat for days now.
Also need to find someone to go with me to the following concerts:

9/11 Dirty Projects - Terminal 5
9/29 or 9/30 Best Coast - Location pending on date (only 15 $$$!)
10/6 Phoenix - MSG
10/9 Ratatat - Terminal 5

The bad thing is that my schedule is going to make it almost impossible to make it to all these concerts.  I probs can go to all of these if I don't take the internship at NewBeauty Mag.

I should put more effort into this blog. Meh.
