See that skirt underneath? I am going to own it in dress form (It's basically a plain v neck with the gorgeous hemming on that skirt pictured.) I am so excited. I never would have thought I would be so excited by anything Peter Copping creates at Nina Ricci, but I'm sort of glad his pieces are much more wearable (but unfortunately commericial). I got the dress in a size 0. Good idea? Probably not, but if I could slim down to 108 at one point of my life, it shouldn't be too hard again. It was originally $1200 and I was originally going to buy it at full price, but sale season is wonderful in that I got it 40% off due to pre-fall items coming in. I also got a tulle dress and cardigan from Burberry at the sale, as well as some Phillip Lim shorts from Neiman Marcus. Hopefully I'll find somethings at Barneys on Tuesday, but I want to try for 60-70% off. I don't care too much about what's in season or what's not. I think the blogging community would agree evident in the reception of Jane Alridge's posts of outfits utilizing various seasoned Prada and Chanel items. I think timing only matter when it comes down to novelty items such as those satin printed items from Miu Miu SS10.
I nearly forgot. I also got the most awesome pair of Dior Cannage Flats at Nordstrom. In Black.
Why it is on sale? I don't know. But at $289, I will take a pair to replace my much damaged pair of Ferragamos. I am so awful to those shoes!
But on another note, I tried on the most beautiful Carolina Herrera gown that goes for $2990. People say it doesn't hurt to try, but yes it does. I was so scared that I would tear the gown that I took about 10 minutes to put it on. Why didn't I wear a gown to prom? Worst decision of my life.
